Overview
SHIFT Conference is an annual global event focused on creativity, innovation, and human-centered technology. For the 2024 edition, the organizing team approached me to design a cohesive brand experience that would resonate both in-person and online — elevating the conference's visual impact while maintaining clarity and consistency across all channels.
The Challenge
The existing visual identity lacked scalability and didn't reflect the progressive, forward-thinking nature of SHIFT's speaker lineup and topics. They needed a flexible design system that could work across a wide range of touchpoints: print, digital, stage design, and real-time event visuals — while maintaining brand consistency across platforms.
My Role
I served as lead designer and creative consultant for the 2024 event, delivering a full design suite that included:
Updated event branding and visual system
Keynote and presentation templates for 30+ speakers
Social media campaign graphics and speaker spotlights
Web assets for registration and schedule rollout
Badge, signage, and on-site print collateral
Animated screen visuals for stage transitions and intros
Design Approach
The design theme centered around "momentum and clarity" — a visual metaphor for breakthrough thinking. We used motion-inspired graphic elements, layered gradients, and modular grids to convey forward movement. The color palette combined bold, saturated tones with neutral grounding, making the system visually striking while maintaining accessibility.
Typography focused on hierarchy and legibility, particularly for presentation templates and real-time digital signage. The overall system was built to scale — from Instagram stories to 8-meter stage screens — with ease and consistency.
