Overview

Lumen Studio is a boutique interior design firm known for their serene spaces, refined materials, and light-focused architecture. They reached out to redesign their website to better reflect their evolving portfolio, premium positioning, and growing international clientele.

The Challenge

Their existing site felt outdated and rigid, failing to showcase the elegance of their work or adapt to modern devices. The team needed a digital presence that was not only beautiful but functional — one that matched the sophistication of their interiors and served as a seamless entry point for potential clients and collaborators.

My Role

I led the UX/UI design and creative direction for the entire website experience. The project included:

• Complete sitemap and wireframe restructuring

• Responsive UI design with modular layout blocks

• Custom case study templates for project pages

• Subtle transitions and scroll animations for storytelling

• Art direction for photography placement and visual hierarchy

• Web typography system to match their offline branding

Design Approach

The design is spacious and minimal, with generous use of white space and large imagery to allow their interiors to speak for themselves. We used soft transitions, elegant serif type, and grid-based layouts to create a sense of calm precision — echoing the physical spaces Lumen is known for.

All content was optimized for fast loading and mobile performance, ensuring both aesthetic impact and usability.
