Brand identity and album cover design for an indie music label with a retro-futuristic vibe.

Overview
Echo Sound is an independent music label representing emerging artists in electronic, ambient, and alternative genres. With a growing roster and increasing recognition, the label approached me to develop a new brand identity that would visually reflect its unique soundscape: bold, experimental, and emotionally resonant.
The Challenge
Echo Sound’s existing branding lacked coherence and didn’t fully capture the atmosphere of its music. The challenge was to create a versatile yet distinctive visual identity that could live across album covers, social media, merchandise, and digital platforms — all while staying true to the label’s underground roots and forward-thinking approach.
My Role
I led the complete rebranding process, delivering a full visual system and creative direction assets, including:
Logo design and logomark variations
Custom type treatment inspired by analog synths and reverb patterns
Color palette and tone system
Templates for album artwork, event flyers, and artist releases
Social media assets and branding guidelines
Visual direction for future merchandise and tour branding
Design Approach
The brand identity was built around the idea of “resonance through space” — visually representing sound as echo, distortion, and repetition. I incorporated abstract waveforms, gritty textures, and high-contrast typography to build a bold yet flexible system.
The primary logo is clean but glitch-influenced, while supporting visuals are layered, atmospheric, and built for motion. A dark, cinematic color palette creates a moody foundation, with occasional electric accents to match artist visuals.
The system was also built for scalability: whether a lo-fi release, a branded showcase event, or a Spotify header — the Echo Sound look remains clear, strong, and adaptable.
